Specials at the Pitcher House abound.

At the Pitcher House we have a variety of "Specials." From FREE ping pong to a rack of pool for only 50¢. It doesn't stop there. We have darts, foozball, video and pinball games, computer trivia and shuffle board.

Tito opens the kitchen every day at 4:30pm and he cooks up a storm. The menu varies but there is always some tasty just minutes from being eaten. His, "Wednesday Night Spagetti," with meat sauce and garlic bread, for only $3.75, blows minds.

We have a party room that's available for any ocassion.

On hand we have over 25 bottled beers and 11 beers on tap. (Why do ya think they called it, "da' pitcha' howse?") Besides beer we also have Wyder's Pear Cider and a large assortment of wines. Thursdays is, "Cup of Swill Night," when you keep the cup.

Happy Hour is Monday - Thursday 4 - 7pm and on Friday 3 - 7pm.
Bar hours are: Saturday - Thursday 4pm - 2am, and Friday 3pm - 2am.

(The South Bay's earliest and most prominent beach bar, swill house and pool hall)

The place was originally a bank in 1926. We still have a giant safe just inside the door. In 1929, due to the collapse of the stock market the bank closed.

A theater troupe rented it for a while. Their original murals are still on the walls celebrating the bathing suites and morals of the day. We never painted over them.

After the theater troupe the corner became a restaurant to 1947. Then it became dormant again.

From 1950 all the way through 1996 we just sold Bud and a few other beers. Swinging doors graced the front like an old West bar for most of its life span. Bikers, movie stars, pool sharks, and war heroes sat side by side along the bar's mammoth spread. People would go on vacations and return with road posts, license plates, street signs, animal heads, car parts, - whatever - donating it to the walls for a free beer. The collection grew and grew until the collection got so thick you couldn't make out some of the things under the earlier layers. A giant train whistle - among many other horns and whistles- blasted through the air. Saw dust covered the floors. Christmas summoned a monstrous size decorated tree. The place was packed non-stop.

Today the walls are still covered with those endless adventure gatherings. The train whistle still blasts. A fifteen foot snake lay under the length of the front bar. People of all ages visit and recount stories from their generation of visiting the Pitcher House. Some younger customers tell us of how their parents used to come here, and now they do. Currently we offer some thirty-six beers and a challenge to jump on the International Beer Express. Drink one of each and we put your name on the historic wall in a plaque with whatever quote you can summon. (You don't have to do it in one day.)

Ever changing, the old wooden wild West doors are still nailed to the front of the building. The old Toes Tavern Surf Bar Tiki Head now resides atop the roof of The Pitcher House... it's eyes can be seen ablaze from miles up P.C.H. We serve food again. We still lay claim to some of the sharpest pool players around. Not to mention the foozball wizards, ping pong, shuffle board, live music, and saw dust still on the floor.

It's still the premiere place among the South Bay to escape into a world of history, pool, music, and deep rich cool pitchers of beer.
